announces a new addition to the Interfast PLC Interface
wiring system. The new FAS SLC-1 adapter replaces the expensive
swing arms used with Allen Bradley's® SCL
500 PLC. The FAS SLC-1 allows fast, lower cost connection
of up to 16 digital input or outputs or 8 analog inputs
using ABB's convenient connection interface modules or
terminal blocks. The use of ABB's low cost universal cable
assemblies allows the user to connect to almost any interface
connection device. These universal cable assemblies come
with ABB's standard Omni connector or with flying leads
and ferrules. These are in stock and available for immediate
delivery.

| New 600VAC - Tmax Molded Case Circuit Breakers – World
Class Innovation |

 The
Tmax range of molded-case circuit breakers is now completed
with two new sizes rated up to 600 A at 600V AC. A result
of an extensive research project, ABB's patented Tmax,
T4 and T5 extend industrial performance barriers to deliver
far more protection in a small molded case enclosure. The
Tmax T4 and T5 breakers can provide 150 kA at 480 V AC,
85 kA at 600 V AC breaking capacity. The T4 is rated for
up to 250A and is the most compact breaker (4 x 4 x 8 in.)
available today. The T5 is rated at up to 600A while only
slightly larger. Their high trip capacity reduces electro-
dynamic stress and allows optimized sizing of cables, busbars,
ducts and supports. A complete range of common accessories
and connection terminals make Tmax your best choice in
molded case circuit breakers.

Cost Of Automatic Lubrication Control |

 Rotating
parts, bearings, and gears need regular lubrication to
prevent premature failure. Automatic lubrication systems
provide a cost effective solution for this requirement.
An equipment manufacturer designed a system using a micro
PLC and a 20A solid state relay. They developed custom
software to operate the PLC. (This application requires
one output. Most microPLC's have four to eight outputs;
extra hardware means extra cost in this application.)
ABB's application engineers suggested a solution that
saved this OEM 73% over their original design. The
ABB design reduced the cost of the control electronics,
connection, and the cost of the enclosure. The selected ProgramaCube® control
