Free Whitepaper

As manufacturing operations implement lean processes to drive down costs by focusing on the value delivered to the end customer, many questions remain.

·How does Lean Manufacturing impact the building of electrical panels?
·How can I reduce the costs in my panels by leveraging lean techniques?
·What do I need to do first?

This paper will discuss how you can leverage Lean Operations, A Lean Supply Chain, and Lean Design of your electrical panels to meet our key goals.  Written by John E. Boyer, a nationally known Lean expert with over 20 years of operational experience, this paper will walk you through, step by step the areas you need to focus on first to lower your costs and improve your bottom line.

Having Unexplained Motor, Pump or Compressor Failures? Interactive animations show possible solution. Fast, easy to view.

Animations show why motor windings overheat and prematurely fail when adverse three phase voltages are present. Motor health can be compromised when the voltage at the terminal lugs is outside the specification window. See what happens to the winding’s temperature when subjected to: Phase Loss, Under Voltage and Unbalanced Voltages. Animations include meters that display reference voltages during fault events. Don't let electrical surges, scorch your business! Is your equipment well protected?

Surges voltages can be caused by common events like storms and bank switching on the distribution line. These events cause over 2 billion dollars in damage plus losses in operational revenues (downtime) every year in the USA; Surge voltages damage sensitve electrical equipment, telephone and computer networks and buildings. Why take a chance on expensive equipment repair or replacement. Let us show the simple solution to world class protection. Request a further demonstration today.

Using TVSS? Does your TVSS tell you when it has stopped working? Does your sensitive equipment still have adequate protection after the last storm? ABB's TVSS product announces its status with 2 alarm indications: visual indication on the unit and remote alarm contacts. It also offers a dual protection. Then, pluggable replacement modules allow safe replacement (without wiring) and return to full protection within seconds. Because of ABB's dual protection system, back up protection is available until you replace the failed module"?

Key Features:

  • Reliable, Positive and Cost Effective, Surge Voltage Equipment Protection
  • Built in redundant, Safety Reserve protection
  • 3-step visual indication, remote alarm contacts
  • Integrated Thermal disconnector to avoid all risks of fire
  • Very low clamping voltage as low as 600V
  • High discharge capability up to 100KA per phase (400KA in total
  • High energy withstand: up to 1600 Joules per pole (6400 Joules in total)
  • Plug in modules for easy replacement
  • UL 1449 recognized, CSA, CE

NEW ABB Reversing Busbar Kits

NEW ABB Busbar – Save time, money, eliminate wiring errors.

ABB has redesigned the reversing and wye-delta busbar kits for contactor types A/AL9 through A/AL40. This new design not only improves the look of the product it saves time during assembly, and reduces the risk of mounting and wiring errors. The new BER (reversing) and BEY (wye-delta) busbars are molded plastic with integrated copper busbar. These new kits eliminate the need for a support DIN rail or a mounting plate, and can be used in conjunction with ABB Overloads and Manual Motor Protectors. ABB will use the new BER and BEY bus kits on all factory assembled reversing and mechanically interlocked contactors and starters from A/AL9 through A/AL30, and the BEY wye-delta kits on all wye-delta starters from A/AL9 through A/AL40.
