| New TA
Series Tripping Class 20 Thermal Overload Relays |
 |
|
If you are having nuisance overload trips on startups due
to long acceleration time of fan motors or other large inertia
loads, ABB can help!
Selecting and adjusting an overload for large inertia
loads is more complex than just selecting the FLA.
The New TA series
makes selection and adjustment easy, fast, and reliable.
The tripping class indicates the maximum tripping time
in seconds under specified conditions at 7.2 times
the nominal
current setting. The new class 20 overloads give you that
extra time for special applications and difficult motor
starts. ABB’s new class 20 overloads and their accessories
meet UL, CSA, IEC and most other important certifications
and approvals required throughout the world. The new TA series
class 20 overloads provide economic and effective protection
against Overloads, Phase unbalance and Phase loss.
Key Features:
-
Provides Low Cost Thermal Protection Against:
- Overloads
- Phase
Unbalance
- Phase
Loss
-
Available for starter construction with A-Line contactors
A9 – A110
-
Designed for close couple mounting or separate base mounting
-
Wide thermal adjustment range
-
Full automatic or Manual Reset option
-
Remote trip and reset option available
-
Reset button can be adjusted to function as a Stop button
-
Trip indicator
-
Tripping contacts (95, 96) and Signaling Alarm contacts (97,

| New 30
Amp Power Timer, Dual Function Timer, Slashes Installed
Cost |
 |
|
Custom
Timers, with Fast Delivery - Another ABB Winning Combination
Need Custom functions at standard lead times? No programmers
or IT people required and you get direct switching of 30A,
1 HP loads.
The HRPD makes it possible to eliminate a power relay
or DP contactor, save wiring and get the accuracy
and reliability
of an onboard adjustable time delay relay.
ABB
is please to announce this exciting addition to the patented
ProgramaCube® family of factory programmable
timers. The
HRID/HRPD combines the accuracy of microcontroller circuitry
with a 30 Amp relay to allow direct control of pumps,
compressors, motors, heaters and lighting.
The HRID Series features isolated SPDT contacts, the
HRPD has non-isolated relay contacts for reduced wiring
and
fewer connections. The standard dual functions can
replace up to
3 conventional singe function timers.
Factory programmed means all functions, all ranges,
all adjustment methods, and all voltages are available
at
standard lead
times.
Custom software functions can be created to allow
the HRPD to replace a miniPLC or a logic relay.
This can
dramatically
cut your overall control system cost.
All units are shipped with the UL and CSA approval
and the CE mark. They are backed by an exclusive
10 Year
Warranty.
Important Features:
- 30 A res., 1 Hp, SPDT Output Relay Contacts
- Select 1 of 13 Standard Dual Timing Functions
- Custom Functions are Available, Call 800-377-7722 for

| Terminal
Plotter and Marking System |
 |
|
ABB
is pleased to announce a new plotter. This plotter offers
many additional features listed below. It is a rugged industrial
design rated for years of reliable operation. Improved
machined base plate/template for RC/RCT terminal block
markers, is more durable, enables better accuracy and is
less expensive to maintain. In addition to terminal block
marking, templates are available for other components.
It can be used to mark ABB terminal blocks and those from
other companies.
- Unique
Pen Handling & Sealing
- has a silicone sealer built in that will keep the tip
of the pen moist.
- Plotter Pen Test - draws a pattern on a dedicated spot
prior to plotting on the marker; ensures every tag
will be marked
correctly
- Template Recognition System - automatically detected
by the software and displays only associated markers.
- Increased Spacing - 15mm spacing between the pen tip
and the bed, can plot thicker markers.
- Applications with accessory templates - Marking: wire
and cables, ferrules, mounting panels, components
and push-button
tags.
- Accessory Tools - New tools, like an engraving tool,
will be available soon.
